Engineers in Leadership: Talking with Alison Baptiste, CBE

Engineering in Policy teamed up with the Government Science and Engineering Profession to interview Alison Baptiste, CBE, about being an engineer in a leadership role in government. 

Alison is Director of Public and Security Services at the Infrastructure and Projects Authority. She is also a Chartered Engineer and Fellow of the Institution of Civil Engineers.

We talked with Alison about how her engineering background influences her work, the differences between private and public sector approaches to engineering, and advice for people with technical backgrounds who want to move into leadership roles.
